We are very excited to announce that this year's online United Women Conference's theme is "Breaking Silence, Breaking Barriers". When deciding on this year's theme we contemplated how many voices in today's society are being silenced and oppressed by inequality, sexism, stereotypes, and fears. We soon came to realize the importance of making our voices heard and breaking those stereotypes and barriers in order to spread awareness, advocate, and share our stories. By embracing this theme we hope to inspire our community and incite change through our everyday actions and behaviors. As well as empower our community and people around us through the celebration of individuality.
